Most of the services offered by Brushes N' Bruises (Ashlynn Bolt) are an assortment of makeup styles varying from natural day to full glamour. She specializes in fashion makeup for any skin tone & treating every face like a canvas.

She's also specially trained in spray tanning, giving clients a satisfactory glow before basking in the sun. She believes every tan should be customized to help achieve the level of darkness & tone they desire.

Airbrush makeup is a lightweight method of application using a water-resistant formula and airbrush spray gun. It is perfectly blended to match your skin tone and offers a smooth, filtered finish. The makeup can last up to 15 hours, so it is perfect for weddings and special occasions. 

The main difference is that hand-applied comes in many formulas and can be used based on your skin type, and would need touch-ups more often.

Trials and consultations are charged separately, yet to initially schedule your event with Brushes N' Bruises, a down payment will be made. She accepts payments through Zelle, Cashapp, Square, credit/debit card and cash. 

Brushes N' Bruises prefers designing looks that fit the clients' needs and wants. Although it's not necessary for all services, discussion is highly recommended for weddings, bridal parties, and SFX/Halloween makeup. Hair accessories, wardrobe/costume, jewelry, and themes are discussed. If there's a party of more than three people, they will be consulted for their looks. Ideally the initial consultation is scheduled three months prior to the wedding date and/or event. Ashlynn travels to your location for trials and is charged separately.

Professionally applied makeup will last for the duration of the event. Quality products are always used and steps are followed to ensure the longevity of your makeup. Ashlynn provides her brides with a touch-up kit including blotting papers, powder puffs, and a lipstick kit. Most of the products used are water-resistant in nature, but please avoid makeup transfers by avoiding contact with your face throughout your day (ex. hugging cheek to cheek, patting your tears with a paper towel, no wiping, etc). She suggests that once your makeup is complete that you eat with a fork and knife, and drinking with a straw to ensure it'll last.

The formula used by Brushes N' Bruises is organically sourced & can last 7-9 days. The tan dries almost instantly so there's no worry about feeling wet or sticky. To ensure its longevity, she recommends to follow these steps:

• After your service is complete, wait 4-6 hours before taking your first shower
• Be careful to rinse off ALL solution (watch for the neck!) with lukewarm water, not hot water. No soap or exfoliation for this first rinse, and pat yourself dry.
• Apply moisturizer the morning and evening after your post-tan shower
• Avoid products with AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) or exfoliating properties.
• Avoid taking long, hot showers and scrubbing your skin. NO BATHS! Soaking is not recommended for your tan.
• Avoid using Aerosol sunscreen because they will dry out your spray tan. Oil-free moisturizing sunscreen that can be rubbed on your skin is best suited.
